Project Designer

Studio MBM is a New York City design firm seeking a creative, well-rounded, motivated and organized Project Designer with 4+ years of experience. Our current work includes residential, interiors, commercial projects and furniture design.

Working with our team in NYC, the applicant would be responsible for taking a leadership role on multiple projects. This would include, but not be limited to, managing day-to-day assignments, working closely with the Principal and assigned staff, developing drawings, and communicating with consultants and contractors on a daily basis to ensure coordination on projects. The right candidate will have strong design skills and experience across all phases of a project.

Candidate should meet the following criteria:

• B.Arch or M.Arch from accredited institution
• 4-7 years relevant experience in an architecture or design office
• CA experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Rhino + Rendering software. Experience in Enscape is a plus.
• Knowledge of construction standards and codes, materials, and building systems is a plus.
• Experience in residential and commercial projects preferred.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced and rigorous environment.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and with team members.
• Approach every design and research project with creativity and inquisitiveness.

This is a full-time position in-office at our New York studio in Soho, and starts January 2026. Must be able to work in the US. Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience.
