Interior Design Coordinator

Primary Responsibilities

HDR's Interior Design Coordinator will assist Senior Interior Designers with evaluations, selections and applications for interior design concepts, utilizing programming, functional analysis, and space planning principles; perform interior design assignments including conceptual and schematic design; select interior details, materials, colors, furniture and furnishings, lighting design, space planning and detailing; apply design principles in development and preparation of presentation drawings and construction documentation;

clearly present and explain design concepts to supervisors and other team members, taking direction when needed; generate finish plans, specifications, and material selections for construction phase; and interpret plans and specifications using knowledge of interior code requirements, construction administration procedures, and electrical/HVAC systems.

• Master's Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a closely related field and 2 years' experience in interior design or Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a closely related field and 5 years' experience in interior design.
• Required experience must include experience in sustainable design; preparing 2D and 3D presentation and design drawings, 3D Studio Max, Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD, Sketch Up, and Enscape.
• LEED Green Associate certification.

The expected compensation range for this position is $89,606.00 - $ annually/hourly depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
