A boutique residential design firm based in New York City is seeking a skilled, experienced, and accomplished Senior Interior Designer with a strong background in architectural design and project management. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative, design‑driven team known for creating refined, sophisticated interiors rooted in timeless style.

The ideal candidate is highly proficient in producing high‑quality technical drawings, has a keen eye for detail, and brings both creative vision and practical expertise to each phase of the design process. You’ll take projects from concept through installation, translating the Principal’s vision while contributing original ideas and exceptional technical execution.

• Own multiple residential projects from concept through install with minimal supervision; uphold the studio’s aesthetic and standards.
• Interpret the Principal’s vision and advance it with strong concepts, space planning, and FF&E direction.
• Produce and oversee complete drawing sets including plans, elevations, details, specs, schedules, and shop drawings.
• Source, quote, and specify FF&E/finishes; prepare proposals; manage purchasing to budget and timeline.
• Build polished client decks and materially accurate boards; present clearly and confidently.
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and consultants; maintain clear communication and follow‑through.
• Attend site meetings, walkthroughs, and installs; troubleshoot in real time with GCs, fabricators, and trades. This will require travel.
• Help refine internal processes and documentation for quality and efficiency.

• Experience:
  
  7+ years in interior design with a high‑end residential portfolio demonstrating concept‑to‑completion leadership.
• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Interior Design or Architecture.
• Technical Proficiency:
  Advanced AutoCAD, Sketch Up, 3ds Max, and Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with industry‑standard project/spec tools.
• Strong command of design history, materials, detailing, and current residential trends.
• Established relationships across vendors, showrooms, and fabricators.
• Highly organized, self‑directed, and comfortable juggling multiple timelines.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and calm, practical judgment during construction and installation.
