We are seeking a Job Captain with 3–5 years of postgraduate professional experience, preferably in a design and innovation‑driven office, to work on complex cultural projects beginning on or before January 5 2026. The role focuses on document production and management, material research, design‑study visualization, and collaboration with project architects, consultants, and the design team. The ideal full‑time employee will be eligible for a hybrid schedule, with a minimum of two in‑person days per week at our new office location (to be confirmed in Lower Manhattan, Brooklyn, or Jersey City).
The position is located in New York, NY, USA (remote possible).
- Manage cultural architecture projects from beginning to completion by interfacing with clients and project teams on budget, schedule, and work plans.
- Research building codes and local zoning requirements.
- Prepare presentation drawings and diagrams to clearly convey design ideas.
- Produce architectural documents for permit submittal and construction.
- Record meeting minutes, agendas, and communications with client and consultant teams.
- Professional degree in Architecture.
- Minimum 3 years of office experience, post‑graduation.
- Strong Rhino skills with demonstrated evidence of complex files.
- Skill in creating design studies through rendering software (Vray preferred).
- Demonstrated skill in AutoCAD and development of 2D drawing information based on 3D design files.
- Ability to draw and organize complex buildings in legible and thoughtful sets of documents.
- Ability to manage and coordinate external consultants to solve technical problems.
- Demonstrated reliability, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interface with consultants.
- Pre‑existing authorization to work in the USA.
