I’m partnering with a well-established, firm with a strong presence in New York City to help them hire an Associate Landscape Architect who’s passionate about thoughtful, impactful design.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative team that works across public and private realm.

Responsibilities:

• Proven experience across all project phases, from Schematic Design through Construction Documentation
• Skilled in project management and technical coordination
• Preparation of high-quality presentation materials, including conceptual plans, reports, diagrams, detailed designs, and construction documentation
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations in the development of drawing packages
• Support Directors by managing project staffing and budgets, and contributing to future resource planning
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records and documentation
• Oversee and coordinate work with sub-consultants
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing communication and expectations
• Lead regular design and coordination meetings with internal and external teams

What we're looking for:

• Degree in Landscape Architecture (BLA or MLA) with experience in design and project management within the field of landscape architecture
• Strong design sensibility with a focus on detail and execution excellence
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to develop and communicate design ideas both by hand and digitally
• Demonstrated experience leading and overseeing staff in the technical delivery of projects
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) is essential
• Ability to manage and contribute to multiple projects concurrently
• Broad project experience across various scales and typologies, from master planning to detailed site-specific design
• Committed to mentoring team members on construction technology, materials and installation methods, technical detailing, and emerging practices
