Location: New York

I’m reaching out to share a fantastic full-time onsite opportunity with a global eyewear company based in New York, NY. They’re looking for an experienced Eyewear Designer to join their design team. This is a great role for a creative, trend-savvy designer with strong technical skills and an eye for innovation in fashion accessories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research current fashion and eyewear trends and translate them into sketches, CADs, and final product concepts
  • Design sunglass collections for multiple brands, incorporating color, pattern, shape, and material trends
  • Collaborate with the Chief Designer and design team to develop seasonal collections and trend boards
  • Review prototypes and samples for fit, function, and style accuracy
  • Develop and manage product from initial concept through final styling and delivery
  • Create and maintain cost sheets, product lists, and data accuracy across all design phases
  • Source and communicate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure quality, timelines, and cost efficiency
  • Design and source packaging and eyewear cases
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Sales, and Marketing to align product design with brand strategy
  • Participate in weekly design and production meetings and oversee prototype sampling process
Tools & Programs
  • Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong CAD and presentation skills required
Qualifications
  • 5–10 years of experience in design (eyewear experience preferred but not required)
  • Strong understanding of fashion trends, materials, and color application
  • Excellent sketching, CAD, and product development skills
  • Strong communication, organization, and presentation abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Product Design, or related field preferred
