Pawlicy is looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our early‑stage team and help Pawlicy bring transparency to pet health.

As a Senior Product Designer, you'll be joining a tight‑knit product & engineering team composed of a Head of Product, Director of Engineering, five rockstar Software Engineers, and a data analyst. You will own product design execution and strategy as well as become an expert in all of our users—from pet parents through veterinary staff.

This job is perfect for an experienced product designer who thrives in a startup environment and is able to operate as a designer independently and partner with product and engineering.

The expectation is that you will own our design system, user and competitive research, and deliver key product initiatives. You will have the ability to make a profound impact on the product roadmap with your insights and ideas.

Location:

New York City (full‑time position, in‑office required four days per week)

• Own the end-to-end product design process and implementation for new product features
• Partner with engineering to review and ensure all product updates meet design requirements
• Lead user and competitive research to inform product strategy
• Improve and maintain our current design system and brand alongside our senior marketing designer
• Work ahead of engineering sprints by 1‑2 sprints and keep pace with our fast‑development team
• Collaborate closely with key stakeholders within our marketing, veterinary, and other departments to support company goals
• Become an expert in the pet insurance domain and stay ahead of trends in the industry

• 5‑10 years of experience as a Product Designer
• Startup experience or demonstrated ability in large ownership and working autonomously
• Experience running user and competitive research independently
• You're opinionated and willing to share your perspective on how to best solve problems for our users
• Demonstrated examples of working collaboratively with different types of teams and job functions
• Based in the New York City area, with willingness to work in person with the CEO and team at least four days a week in Midtown Manhattan
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
