As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll join a tight‑knit product and engineering team composed of a Head of Product, Director of Engineering, five software engineers, and a data analyst. You will own product design execution and strategy, becoming an expert in our users from pet parents through veterinary staff. The role is ideal for an experienced designer who thrives in a startup environment, works independently, and partners closely with product and engineering.

• Own the end‑to‑end product design process and implementation for new features.
• Partner with engineering to ensure all product updates meet design requirements.
• Lead user and competitive research to inform product strategy.
• Improve and maintain our current design system and brand alongside our senior marketing designer.
• Work ahead of engineering sprints by 1–2 sprints to keep pace with the fast development team.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders in marketing, veterinary, and other departments to support company goals.
• Become an expert in the pet insurance domain and stay ahead of industry trends.

• 5‑10 years of experience as a Product Designer.
• Startup experience or demonstrated ability to take large ownership and work autonomously.
• Experience running user and competitive research independently.
• Opinionated and willing to share perspectives on solving problems for users.
• Demonstrated examples of collaborating with diverse teams and functions.
• Based in the New York City area, willing to work in person with the CEO and team at least four days a week in Midtown Manhattan.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
