We are seeking a Designer to lead design initiatives for our accounts. In this role, you’ll bridge the gap between high-level trend forecasting and commercially successful product lines for major retailers. From concept boards to final production samples, you will be the creative force behind our bedding, bath, and decorative pillow categories.

• Creative Ownership:
  Lead the design process for major retail brands.
• Global Impact:
  Collaborate with overseas partners and attend international trade shows.
• Central NYC Hub:
  Work in the heart of the design industry with a collaborative, fast-paced team.

• Trend Execution:
  Research and interpret global home fashion trends into saleable product collections tailored to specific retail partners.
• Product Development:
  Create original print, pattern, and woven designs tailored to specific brand guidelines or retailer specifications for bedding and bath soft goods.
• Tech Packs:
  Generate detailed technical design packages including construction details, fabric specifications, colorways, and artwork repeats.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  
  Partner daily with Sales, Merchandising, and Product Development to ensure designs align with brand identity, private label and market needs.
• Global Sourcing:
  Communicate with overseas teams (SHO, INO, PAK) to approve production standards and troubleshoot design adaptations.
• Market Presentation:
  Prepare mood boards and present design concepts directly to internal executives and external major retail accounts.

• Experience:
  
  5 years in Textile Design, specifically within Soft Home Goods (Bedding, Bath, and Decorative Pillows is a must).
• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Design, Textiles
• Tech Savvy:
  Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Market Knowledge:
  Proven ability to source fabrics at trade fairs and translate "inspiration" into "production-ready" designs.
• Design Capability:
  Exceptional versatility in design style to easily pivot between a proprietary retail brand aesthetic and varying private label customer aesthetics.
• Industry Knowledge:
  Strong understanding of textile constructions, printing techniques (screen, digital, rotary), weaving patterns, and fabric finishing
• Communication:
  Strong presentation skills with the ability to "sell" a creative vision to internal and external stakeholders.
