Men’s Cold Weather Accessories Designer

A growing apparel and accessories business is seeking an experienced Men's Cold Weather Accessories Specialist to help build out its performance and outdoor product line. This role is central to developing commercially successful cold-weather accessories for major retailers, combining technical product expertise with strong commercial instincts.

• Develop product across key categories including performance and insulated gloves, running and touchscreen gloves, hats, beanies and headwear, balaclavas, gaiters and face protection, base layers and thermal apparel, fleece and performance accessories, and ski/snow and outdoor accessories
• Guide product development from concept through retail execution
• Apply strong knowledge of performance fabrics, insulation, fleece, stretch materials and technical constructions
• Incorporate features such as touchscreen compatibility, grip applications, reflective details, moisture management, thermal properties and weather protection
• Identify outdoor and performance trends and translate them into commercial product
• Work with factories on materials, construction, costing, fit and product development
• Build compelling seasonal assortments and presentations
• Monitor competitive brands and the outdoor/performance marketplace
• Develop product for large national retailers, sporting goods chains, warehouse clubs or mass merchants

• Strong background in performance, outdoor and active cold-weather products
• Experience in several key categories: performance and insulated gloves, running and touchscreen gloves, hats, beanies and headwear, balaclavas, gaiters and face protection, base layers and thermal apparel, fleece and performance accessories, ski/snow and outdoor accessories
• Strong knowledge of performance fabrics, insulation, fleece, stretch materials and technical constructions
• Understanding of features such as touchscreen compatibility, grip applications, reflective details, moisture management, thermal properties and weather protection
• Strong understanding of men's outdoor, active and cold-weather consumers
• Experience working with factories on materials, construction, costing, fit and product development
• Ability to build compelling seasonal assortments and presentations
• Understanding of competitive brands and the outdoor/performance marketplace
• Background in the outdoor, performance, active or sporting goods industry

• Experience developing product for large national retailers, sporting goods chains, warehouse clubs or mass merchants is highly preferred
• Experience with brands or retailers in the outdoor, running, ski/snow, sporting goods or performance apparel space is a major plus
