Architectural Designer​/Visualization Specialist

Bates Masi Architects is a sixteen-person architecture firm specializing in modern residential and boutique commercial architecture nationally and internationally. Our focus is on innovative design, rooted in extensive research and knowledge of fabrication, construction, and materials. We work in small teams that follow projects consistently from Concept Design through Construction Administration, and we collaborate closely with clients, as well as renowned consultants and contractors. Bates Masi Architects has offices in New York, NY and East Hampton, NY. This job posting is for a full-time, in-person position at the 4-person office in New York City. Along with a competitive salary ($63K-$83K) depending on experience and licensure), benefits include a matching 401(k) plan, health care plan, Architectural Registration Exam financial support, and vacation time.

This position will be involved in all phases of design and construction administration, but with a bias at times on digital modeling and visualization.

The successful applicant’s qualifications will include:

• A professional degree in architecture from an NAAB accredited school
• A special interest in, and extensive experience with digital modeling, rendering, and graphics. Lumion and/or D5 experience is an asset.
• Rigorous attention to detail and consistency
• Experience in construction documents and detailing with knowledge of building technology and construction techniques
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• The ability to condense, categorize, and present research and ideas
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
