Senior Technical Designer – Wear, Womens Wovens

Good People Recruitment is partnering with a well-established women’s fashion house to find a Senior Technical Designer for its woven ready-to-wear line. You’ll own the technical side of each style from first sample through production approval, making sure what the design team imagines becomes a garment that fits beautifully and can be produced at scale.

• Take styles from early sample through pre-production fit approval
• Build complete tech packs and graded specs, and use patterns to correct fit, shape, and silhouette
• Run live fit sessions and turn around clear, timely fit comments to factory partners
• Give vendors grading direction after approval and check that fit holds across the size range
• Work closely with design, product development, and production to keep the calendar on track, and maintain the development WIP tracker

• 7+ years in technical design, with deep women’s RTW and wovens experience
• Strong command of fit, specs, and pattern making
• Working knowledge of PLM, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, Excel, and Power Point
• Sharp attention to detail and the ability to juggle many deadlines and changing priorities
• Clear, confident communication with internal teams and overseas vendors
