We invite you to join us as a Trauma and Acute Care Surgeon or Physician Assistant on our Neurology team at Garnet Health Doctors.

The Trauma Surgeon reports to the Medical Director, Trauma Program, providing trauma and acute surgery coverage in line with Garnet Health Medical Center standards. Responsibilities include educating, consulting, and managing surgical patients, collaborating with healthcare team members, and acting as a clinical educator to staff on surgical competencies and new procedures. The surgeon will ensure quality patient care and a positive patient experience.

Salary details are available during the application process. Garnet Health provides a compensation range of $444,826 to $511,845 annually, excluding bonuses or incentives, with factors such as experience and credentials considered in compensation decisions.

Minimum Education: M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical or osteopathic school.

Minimum Experience: 5 years of surgical experience preferred.

Required Certifications: NY State Medical License, Board Certification in Surgery, Trauma/Surgical Critical Care, BLS/ACLS, current Opioid Prescriber Training, and Infectious Disease Certification. ATLS and PALS are preferred.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for prolonged periods.

Working Conditions: Primarily indoor work with occasional outdoor exposure, involving contact with staff, community members, and potential exposure to hazards such as chemicals, fumes, and physical risks. Must demonstrate physical ability to perform tasks including lifting, bending, and reaching.
