Busy outpatient private practice in Central Florida. Work is Monday through Friday 8 AM until 5 PM. No nights and no weekends. Historic downtown in a great location. Practice is centrally located close to Tampa and Orlando and home of Legoland.
About the Position:
- We are seeking a highly skilled and accomplished radiologist to join our team, specializing in cross-sectional imaging with a focus on musculoskeletal and body imaging.
- This is a full-time outpatient position, offering a balanced work-life schedule with no nights or weekend shifts.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for independently interpreting X-ray, DEXA, CT, MRI, Mammogram, PET CT, and ultrasound studies, providing expert consultations to referring physicians, and contributing to the overall quality and efficiency of our imaging services.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret and report on a wide range of cross-sectional imaging studies, including X-ray, DEXA, CT, MRI, Mammography, PET CT, and ultrasound.
- Provide expert consultations to referring physicians regarding imaging findings and treatment options.
- Participate in multidisciplinary conferences and case discussions.
- Contributes to the development and refinement of imaging protocols.
- Potentially perform or assist with interventional radiology procedures, such as image-guided biopsies and injections.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of patient imaging studies and reports.
- Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance patient care and imaging services.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Stay current with advancements in cross-sectional imaging techniques and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Board-certified or eligible in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology.
- Fellowship training in cross-sectional imaging, with a focus on musculoskeletal and body imaging.
- Proficiency in interpreting a wide range of cross-sectional imaging studies, including X-ray, DEXA, CT, MRI, Mammography, PET CT, and ultrasound studies.
- Experience in interventional radiology procedures (preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Current MQSA certification
