Lenahan Dermatology is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join our established, high-volume dermatology practice serving the Western New York community. With offices in East Amherst and North Buffalo, our team provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology care for patients of all ages.
Under the supervision of Dr. Mary Louise Lenahan, a board‑certified dermatologist with over 30 years of respected private practice experience, this position offers an exceptional opportunity to join a thriving, patient‑centered team committed to delivering the highest standard of care.
Position OverviewThe Physician Assistant will work collaboratively with our board‑certified dermatologist and clinical team to evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of dermatologic conditions.
While prior dermatology experience is preferred, we welcome motivated candidates with a strong interest in dermatology who are eager to learn through structured mentorship and hands‑on clinical experience.
Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive skin examinations and assess patients for dermatologic conditions
- Diagnose and manage common and complex skin diseases
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Perform and assist with office‑based dermatologic procedures, including biopsies, cryotherapy, excisions, and minor surgical treatments
- Educate patients on skincare, prevention, and post‑procedural care
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records in accordance with compliance standards
- Collaborate with the clinical and administrative team to ensure an efficient, high‑quality patient experience
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current NCCPA certification
- Active New York State PA license
- Dermatology experience preferred, but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
