Our client, an academic medical center, is seeking to hire a Gastroenterologist. As the Gastroenterologist, you will provide quality care and education.
Responsibilities- Direct patient care within the division.
- Ensure appropriate coverage for patients and provide guidelines for physician and nurse practitioner performance expectations.
- Monitor staff, oversee paperwork, education, training for providers, and future recruitment.
- Report to the Chair of the Department of Medicine and the CMO.
- Provide clinical care and planning in an interdisciplinary approach in collaboration with leadership and other healthcare professionals.
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
- Advanced endoscopy training is preferred.
- At least 1 year of prior experience.
- Success in advanced endoscopy (EGD/Stent), clinical care, and medical education is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certification.
