OverviewPhysician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Emergency Medicine Physician to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx.
Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed Level I Trauma Center and North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. Jacobi and NCB remain respected leaders in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women’s health. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine to maintain high healthcare delivery standards.

Opportunity Details- Practice at a high-acuity, high-volume ACS Level 1 Trauma Center, Stroke Center, Burn Center, and STEMI/PCI center.

- Affiliated with AECOM, Jacobi Emergency Medicine is a main teaching site for one of the premiere Emergency Medicine residency training programs in the country, with 84 total Emergency Medicine residents over 4 years.
- Jacobi Emergency Medicine is responsible for running Jacobi’s regional snake-bite center and a multi-person hyperbaric treatment facility that treat elective and emergency cases.
- The Department has active programs in ultrasound, simulation, hyperbaric, toxicology/addiction care, public health & advocacy, global health, education, and research. The Department is looking to recruit faculty with these subspecialty niches and others.
- Successful candidates will be highly committed to excellence in patient care, education, and promoting scholarship to enhance the mission of the Department.
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Emergency Medicine
- NYS Medical License
Annual Base Salary: $284,678* (Board Eligible); $290,063* (Board Certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $425,246** (Board Eligible) and $431,169** (Board Certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:
- Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $72,100.
- Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
- 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
- Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
- After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
