Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Anesthesiologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln
. The department averages 160 cases per week, supported by an active and dynamic OB team that performed 1,580 deliveries last year. The hospital boasts 8 main operating rooms (ORs), 2 cystoscopy rooms, 2 labor and delivery ORs, 2 endoscopy suites, and 1 interventional radiology room. The case load spans a wide range, primarily bread‑and‑butter (B&B) cases, but also includes healthy pediatrics, obstetrics, neurology, thoracic, vascular, orthopedics, ENT, and trauma.

Opportunity Details:

On-call responsibilities are well supported by three attendings in-house for nights and weekends

  • Two attendings manage main OR cases, while the third is dedicated to labor and delivery.
  • Minimum of four calls per month required.
  • Weekday calls: 3 p.m. to 7 a.m. (16 hours).
  • Weekend calls: 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. (24 hours).
  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) and residents work in a 1:2 supervision ratio.
  • Approximately 40% of cases are performed solo and 60% under supervision.
  • Anesthesiology residents from New York Medical College rotate through the facility.
  • Five residents graduate per year.
  • Residents also take in-house call.
  • Oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMFS) rotators work during the day, contributing to the educational environment.

Qualifications

  • A license to practice Medicine in the State of New York.
  • Experience in block placement in upper and lower extremities preferred but not required.
  • Board eligible or certified in Anesthesiology.
  • Additional Fellowship training is welcome.

Wages and Benefits include:
Annual Base Salary: $421,000* (board eligible); $431,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated between $600,000 (board eligible) and $610,000** (board certified) which includes the baseline salary, fringe benefits, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000***.
  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
    • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
    • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
  • Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO):
    Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
  • Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage:
    Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
