PAGNY is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialist to join our dynamic, multidisciplinary Obstetrics team. The ideal candidate is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care for complex and high-risk pregnancies, while contributing to clinical excellence, education, and system-wide quality improvement.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative environment that includes general obstetrics, midwifery, neonatology, anesthesiology, social work, and care-coordination teams aligned to improve perinatal outcomes and advance maternal health equity.
Opportunity Details:Clinical Care:
- Provide comprehensive consultations for high-risk pregnancies, including maternal and fetal complications.
- Perform and interpret advanced obstetric ultrasounds, fetal echocardiography (if applicable), Doppler studies, and prenatal diagnostic procedures.
- Co-manage patients with obstetricians, midwives, and other specialists to optimize maternal and fetal outcomes.
- Participate in labor and delivery coverage for complex cases, as needed.
- First-, second-, and third-trimester ultrasounds.
- Amniocentesis, CVS (if applicable).
- Fetal assessment, NSTs, and BPPs.
- Management of hypertensive disorders, diabetes, multiple gestation, placenta accreta spectrum, preterm birth prevention, and other high-risk conditions.
Education:
- Supervise and teach residents, fellows (if applicable), medical students, and sonographers.
- Contribute to curriculum development, simulation training, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Your primary work site is at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln.
- Clinical coverage as needed, remote and in-person, for other hospitals in the region.
- Remote coverage as needed, for other NYC Health + Hospitals facilities outside of the main region.
- Emergency coverage for other NYC Health + Hospitals facilities, as needed.
- Home on-call duties for MFM consults on nights/weekends for shared service facilities.
- Schedules will be set by the Shared Services Team and hospital OB/GYN leadership.
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Certified in General Obstetrics & Gynecology.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
- Eligible for medical licensure in New York.
- Demonstrated commitment to high-quality clinical care, teamwork, and advancing maternal health equity.
- Experience in a diverse, urban, or safety-net care setting preferred, but not required.
- Annual Base Salary: $485,400* (board eligible); $495,400* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week and required 17 weeks of embedded night/weekend call and other coverage
. - Any additional night/weekend call performed over the 17 weeks required for the position will be paid at a rate of $25 per hour.
