Responsibilities will include initiating and managing treatment for patients identified through the newborn screening program, providing inpatient consultations for the metabolic service, and delivering both inpatient and outpatient clinical genetics care.

Additional responsibilities include supervising medical genetics trainees and genetic counselors during their clinical rotations and serving as faculty in the graduate-level medical genetics course.

There are ample opportunities for clinical research, clinical trials, and collaboration with basic science investigators, supported by strong institutional genomics initiatives. Specific job responsibilities can be tailored to the candidate’s clinical interests and experience.

The DMGG is home to multiple accredited training programs, including an ABMGG-accredited Medical Genetics fellowship, combined Internal Medicine–Genetics and Pediatrics–Genetics residencies, a Master’s Program in Genetic Counseling, and a Medical Biochemical Genetics fellowship.
