Optometrist

Community Medical & Dental Care is looking for a part-time Optometrist.

• Examine eyes, using observation, instruments, and pharmaceutical agents, to determine visual acuity and perception, focus, and coordination and to diagnose diseases and other abnormalities.
• Remove foreign bodies from the eye.
• Analyze test results and develop a treatment plan.
• Prescribe, supply fit, and adjust eyeglasses, contact lenses, Prism lenses, and eye Therapy.
• Prescribe medications to treat eye diseases as license permits.
• Administer and manage vision therapy program.
• Educate patients, family members, and others involved in the patient’s eye care.

• Degree from an accredited school of Optometry.
• Active NYS license and DEA.
• Board Certified.
• Being bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
