Position Overview
The Department of Radiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center/New York-Presbyterian is seeking a full‑time faculty member to join our growing Division of Breast Imaging, serving 1111 Westchester Ave. Join a dynamic team at one of the top clinical, research, and teaching institutions and enjoy the flexibility to work near where you live!
Compensation and Academic RankCompensation and academic rank will vary based on credentials, expertise and experience. Salary range starts at $450,000 (for a faculty member in the first year out of fellowship). Our radiology department offers several on‑site locations to work from, extending from northern Westchester to New York City.
Clinical ResponsibilitiesOur ideal candidate has strong interpretative skills in all breast imaging modalities. We value skilled communicators, as our breast imaging faculty collaborate closely with a world‑class team of surgeons and oncologists to provide comprehensive care to our patients. Many faculty members also participate in didactic and hands‑on training of radiology residents and breast imaging fellows and participate in a range of research projects to advance the field.
The Department of Radiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center has more than 100 full‑time faculty and performs over 800,000 imaging exams each year in state‑of‑the‑art facilities. A very active and growing research program provides support and guidance for those interested in participating. The new Center for Innovation in Imaging Biomarkers and Integrated Diagnostics (CIMBID), led by Dr. Despina Kontos, is dedicated to developing and integrating quantitative imaging and non‑imaging biomarkers in cancer evaluation, with a focus on leveraging artificial intelligence tools for risk prediction in breast cancer.

Position requires M.D. or D.O. Candidate must be board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology and must be eligible to practice in the State of New York. Candidate must be MQSA certifiable. Training and experience in breast imaging required.
