Non‑Invasive Cardiology Opportunity in Beautiful Western New York – Excellent Compensation!!
A unique opportunity to join a robust, successful and well‑established practice run by an extremely popular provider who established his practice approximately 35 years ago. Referral pipelines are rich. A vast network of Primary Care Providers refers patients to the practice from a wide geographic area—some are 40 miles away. Present Cardiologist is willing to work part time as needed to provide a stable transition/succession plan.
Although his patients are very loyal to him, with his blessing, we feel confident that the new Cardiologist can be very successful in this practice and enjoy the associated compensation.
Patient exams, echocardiograms, EKGs, exercise stress tests, cardiac event monitors, and implantable device checks are performed daily. Hospital consults, nuclear stress tests, and staffing of the Chest Pain Center are completed at the hospital.
Call Responsibilities and Vacation CoverageMon‑Fri 7‑10 AM – hospital consults only on patients who he has seen in the past, stress tests and rounding.
10:30 AM‑5 PM – office hours.
Every 3rd weekend and every 3rd week, takes world call for all Cardiology practices for ER and consults.
Calls 1:3. Calls shared with two Cardiologists.
This is an extremely prominent sought‑after rural practice focusing on identifying and treating cardiac diseases for nearly 3,000 patients. Growth rate is strong as 20‑30 new patients join monthly.
Payor MixPayor mix base is comprised of Blue Cross of WNY, Medicare, Medicaid, and Independent Health. These four payers insure 70% of the patient population. All major insurance plans are accepted.
CompetitionSignificant shortage of Cardiologist services with many months of wait time for appointment.
Current Weekly Office ScheduleMonday – Friday.
Future VisionsTo significantly increase scope in number of Cardiologists. Presently robust Interventional Cardiology Program at Hospital, EP soon to follow.
Compensation (amount and type) IncentivesIn line with MGMA Data. Present physician working above the 100th percentile.
# Patients SeenPresent Physician sees on avg 20 patients per day plus daily rounds, consults, stress tests and echo readings in hospital. Avg 20 echos performed in office per week. Pacemaker clinic once per week.
EMRThe practice utilizes Medent EMR.
StaffingVery adequate to meet the patient volume. Plans to recruit mid‑level practitioner.
Affiliated Residency ProgramOpportunity to teach family practice residents through the University of Buffalo Rural Residency Program.
