OB​/GYN Generalist

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecologyat NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County is seeking to expand current OBGYN services with the addition of a full-time Generalist Attending. Kings County Hospital specializes in the diagnosis and management of obstetric, medical, surgical, and fetal complications of pregnancy. Kings County Hospital offers advanced pregnancy ultrasound, consultations, genetic testing and counseling, fetal testing, and support for normal and high-risk pregnancies.

The hospital is academically affiliated with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and trains their medical students and OBGYN residents.

Kings County Hospital is located in the East Flatbush/Prospect-Lefferts section of Brooklyn, close to the 2 and 5 subways. Our patients are diverse, with the majority being afro-Caribbean. Most of our patients are native English speakers. Knowledge of French/Haitian Creole is helpful, but not required.

Opportunity Details:

• Provide direct obstetric and gynecologic care to patients, including ambulatory care clinics, in-patient services, and on-call coverage nights and weekends (rotating schedule)
• Provide gynecological surgical care to patients, including minimally invasive techniques
• Provide generalist obstetric and gynecologic care to patients
• Provide supervision and teaching to Fellows, Residents and Medical Students, including didactic sessions
• Participate in quality improvement and performance improvement activities, as directed by department leadership
• 40-hour work week with flexible scheduling options, including a mix of: 24-hour, 16-hour, 12-hour, and 8-hour shifts
• Nights, weekends, and holidays may be required as part of shift rotation
• Option available to pick up additional shifts at a sessional rate

• Board Certification or Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology

Wages and Benefits Include:

Annual Base Salary: $279,000* (board eligible); $289,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $377,100** (board eligible) and $388,100** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $70,200***.
• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
