- Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Participate in pulmonary consults across the hospital.
- Take part in call coverage, including ICU and consult services, on a rotational basis.
- Lead and manage patients in a busy outpatient pulmonary clinic.
- Provide longitudinal care for patients with chronic pulmonary conditions.
Education & Training:
- Actively participate in the hospital’s residency program and Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship Program.
- Teach and mentor residents, fellows, and medical students during bedside rounds, lectures, and conferences.
- Contribute to curriculum development and academic activities.
Research & Quality Improvement:
- Engage in research, quality improvement projects, and scholarly activities to enhance patient outcomes and contribute to the field.
- MD or DO degree.
- Completed fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
- Certification:
Board-certified/eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. - Eligible for medical licensure in New York State.
- Strong clinical, teaching, and communication skills; commitment to patient care and academic excellence.
Wages and Benefits include:
Annual Base Salary: $278,000
* based on a 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $401,320**, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:
- Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
- Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
- 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
- Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
- After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
- Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
- Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO):
