Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York is adding a Cardiologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health
. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor and delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services—from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults—all designed to keep our community healthy.

Opportunity Details
  • Provide direct patient care, including inpatient consultation and outpatient cardiology clinic.
  • Manage noninvasive cardiac testing, such as echocardiography including TEE and cardiac stress testing.
  • ECG and ambulatory ECG interpretation and reporting.
  • Direct teaching responsibilities for cardiology fellows, as well as teaching and mentoring medical residents and medical students.
  • Participate in the cardiology call coverage schedule for the division.
Qualifications
  • Current Board Certification or Eligibility in Cardiology
  • NYS License
  • Active DEA license
Wages and Benefits
  • Annual Base Salary: $310,000 (board eligible); $320,000 (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
  • The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $436,520 (board eligible) and $447,520 (board certified), which includes baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:
  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution: immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings; after one year of service, 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match required.
  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
  • Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO):
    Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
  • Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage:
    Top-tier plans with employee contributions below market rates.
  • Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: 2x salary up to $300,000, provided at no cost.
