Opportunity Details
  • Lead and manage the Kings County Palliative Care Service to achieve clinical excellence, medical education, and growth.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to enhance hospital-wide quality of care for palliative patients.
  • Provide direct inpatient and outpatient palliative care, including symptom management, end-of-life care, and advance care planning.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate the strategic plan for the palliative care program.
  • Lead efforts to achieve and maintain Joint Commission Certification in Palliative Care.
  • Lead quality improvement projects and analyze patient outcomes.
  • Explore development of Palliative Care fellowship training opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted NYS medical license.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Palliative Care (required).
  • Leadership and managerial experience, including finance, quality, and resource management.
  • Clinical maturity and experience in the specialty preferred.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $261,345
* based on 40-hour work week.

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $287,479**, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:

  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
    • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
    • After one year ofservice, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
  • Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO):
    Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
  • Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage:

    Position may be eligible for loan forgiveness through certain state or federal programs.
  • Medical Malpractice Coverage (equivalent to occurrence-based):
