This mid-senior level contract position is on-site, providing a unique chance to contribute to patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment.
As a Locum Gastroenterologist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality medical care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders. Your expertise will help ensure continuity of care while working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive care for patients with gastrointestinal conditions
- Conduct thorough examinations and diagnostic tests
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Perform endoscopic procedures as required
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Participate in patient education and support initiatives
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in gastroenterology
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Board certification in Gastroenterology
- 3-5 years of clinical experience in gastroenterology
- Strong diagnostic and procedural skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Current medical license to practice in New York
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:30a-5p
No call or weekends
Setting:
Inpatient
Daily Volume: 10 consults and 15-25 inpatients split between two physicians
Duties:
Consults, ER call, inpatient rounding, procedures
Procedures:
Colos and endos; no advanced procedures
Support Staff:
Additional MD, ACPs
EMR:
Epic
Board certification required
Paid travel & expenses
