- Intake patient’s medical history, evaluate, and physical examinations.
- Counsel on preventive healthcare, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret radiological and laboratory tests, and write prescriptions.
- Provide direct outpatient and inpatient care.
- Assist in surgery:
Participate as assistant in both in-patient and out-patient surgeries and facilitate in the post-operative care regarding prescriptions and arranging follow up care. - Participate in assigned medical adult and pediatric clinics as a healthcare provider/extender.
- Provide initial visit and revisit assessments and establish plan of care with patient.
- Admit and discharge patients to and from Surgery service.
- Participate in daily rounds and note writing of all Surgery in-patients and consultations.
- Consults and collaborates with other Medical/Surgical and Psychiatric services as necessary to optimize patient care within Surgery guidelines.
- Participate in assigned on call coverage.
- Assist in departmental orientation and training of new hires and students.
