Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) has an OBGYN Generalist opportunity with NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem. Harlem Hospital is located on 135th Street in Manhattan and has been certified as a Baby-Friendly hospital by the World Health Organization. The OBGYN service has a 24-hour pain management service, with five birthing suites and a 17-bed inpatient unit. Harlem Hospital features a da Vinci Robot and a full GYN service, which includes minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, urogynecology, an active robotic surgical service, and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
On average, the OBGYN service has 800 live births annually.
The hospital maintains an academic affiliation with Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Opportunity Details:
- Schedule includes a combination of daytime, nighttime, in-house call shifts, and outpatient clinic sessions.
- Provide in-house coverage for Labor & Delivery and Gynecology services.
- Conduct daily rounds and manage inpatient obstetric care, collaborating with Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM's) and supervising Physician Assistants (PAs) in Labor & Delivery triage.
- Schedule and perform surgical procedures for clinic patients.
- Respond to and manage clinical consults and inquiries from the Emergency Department.
- Perform regular inpatient rounding to ensure continuity of care.
- Board Eligibility and/or Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- GYN surgical capability
Preferred, but not required:
- Ability to perform operative laparoscopy and hysteroscopy
- Experience with operative vaginal deliveries
- Resident teaching experience
Wages and Benefits include:
Annual Base Salary: $296,000* (board eligible); $301,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $435,800** (board eligible) and $441,300** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:
Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $70,200***.
Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
- Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
