Overview

Montefiore Medical Center, a nationally recognized academic health system and primary teaching site for Albert Einstein College of Medicine, is seeking Board‑Certified/Eligible Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our dynamic and growing faculty. We offer distinct tracks for academic, community, and hybrid emergency medicine positions across our Moses, Weiler, and Wakefield campuses in the Bronx, NY.

With more than 275,000 annual visits, Montefiore’s Emergency Department is the most visited in New York State and among the five busiest in the nation, serving a diverse population across the Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester, and Connecticut.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive base salary: $315,000–$330,000

Per Diem opportunities available at the rate of $300–350/hour (Subject to change)

Bonus, productivity incentives and night differentials

Full benefits package, including:

Academic Emergency Physician:

Moses Campus

Join our flagship academic site, where you’ll:

  • Serve at a regional hub for Comprehensive Stroke, Cardiac Catheterization, Limb Reimplantation, and Pediatric Emergency Services (CHAM).
  • Participate in funded research, with over 100 peer-reviewed publications, and a long track record of NIH‑funded faculty and alumni.
  • Educate residents and students in one of the nation’s oldest Emergency Medicine Residency Programs, recognized for its clinical training excellence, a unique public‑private partnership and largest alumni network in EM.
  • Lead or engage in fellowship programs in Clinical Research with Master’s degree programs.
  • Contribute to Residency and student education leadership, ultrasound training, and simulation education.

Weiler Campus

Advance your career at one of the Bronx’s busiest academic emergency departments:

  • Serve a diverse and high‑acuity patient population at the academic hub for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, with close integration into hospital operations and medical education.
  • Practice at a site with 24/7 Cardiac Catheterization, Stroke, and Oncology Emergency Services, alongside nationally recognized specialty care.
  • Educate medical students and residents from one of the oldest and largest Emergency Medicine Residency Programs in the country, with a strong legacy of clinical training and mentorship.
  • Participate in or help lead initiatives in simulation, ultrasound, clinical operations, medical education, or quality improvement.
  • Collaborate across a system committed to health equity, academic excellence, and community service.

Community Emergency Physician:

Wakefield Campus
