About Us
We’re Maimonides Health, Brooklyn’s largest healthcare system, serving over 250,000 patients annually through our 3 hospitals, 1800 physicians and healthcare professionals, and more than 80 community-based practices and outpatient centers. Our core values, H.E.A.R.T.,—Honesty, Empathy, Accountability, Respect, and Teamwork—guide everything we do. We are committed to empowering our talented team, engaging our communities, and providing patient-centered care.
The system includes Maimonides Medical Center, one of the nation’s largest independent teaching hospitals;
Maimonides Midwood Community Hospital, a 130-bed adult medical-surgical hospital; and Maimonides Children's Hospital, Brooklyn's only children’s hospital and pediatric trauma center. Our clinical programs are nationally ranked for patient outcomes, including our Heart and Vascular Institute, Neuroscience Institute, Bone and Joint Center, and Cancer Center. Maimonides is an affiliate of Northwell Health and a major clinical training site for SUNY Downstate College of Medicine.
We are currently recruiting for an open attending faculty position in Hematology/Oncology at the Maimonides Cancer Center. We seek specialists in hematology (benign and malignant), gynecologic and genitourinary oncology, and sarcoma. Our practice group includes 9 full-time faculty, each subspecializing in 2-3 disease sites. Call and consult duties are shared among faculty. Our Cancer Center features a 30-chair infusion unit, pediatric oncology, and state-of-the-art radiation oncology facilities.
We offer a fellowship program with 3 fellows annually, providing teaching opportunities, along with a dedicated research team for clinical trials. Multidisciplinary tumor boards include surgeons, pathologists, and radiologists in all oncology areas.
