We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our team of Ophthalmologists and Optometrists. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including comprehensive exams, diagnosing ocular diseases, and prescribing glasses. The practice is a comprehensive practice with emphasis on refractive services such as myopia control for children and laser vision correction. We are looking for an Optometrist interested in providing compassionate and excellent care to the Asian community.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Provide patient education on eye health, vision correction options, and preventive care.
- Prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses.
- Diagnose and manage ocular diseases such as dry eyes, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in optometry, treatments, and regulations.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation as required by law and company policy.
- Participate in community outreach and educational programs related to eye health.
- Bilingual English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) required.
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.
- Current and unrestricted New York State license.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
