The Department of Pathology at Montefiore Medical Center seeks a qualified physician (M.D. or M.D./Ph.D.) to serve as Medical Laboratory Director. The role leads clinical laboratory operations, participates in hospital committees, and supports resident and medical school teaching.

• Oversight of laboratory clinical operations.
• Active participation in hospital committees.
• Resident and medical school teaching.
• Engagement in translational or clinical research as aligned with training and academic interest.

• M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree.
• Board certified in Clinical Pathology (CP) or Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology (AP/CP).
• Demonstrated expertise in laboratory management.
• Desirable experience in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine; other AP/CP subspecialty training also valued.
• Eligibility to obtain or possession of New York State Certificates of Qualification for Medical Directorship.
• Academic appointment to Albert Einstein College of Medicine commensurate with credentials and experience.

Competitive salary in the range of $250,000–$375,000, dependent on experience, including prior leadership roles. We offer a comprehensive benefits package.
