Psychiatrist 1 and/or 2 (NY HELPS), Creedmoor Psychiatric Center, P26162

Creedmoor Psychiatric Center (CPC), an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited facility, is recruiting Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrists to serve as the Clinical Leads of multidisciplinary treatment teams. Positions are available in CPC inpatient units.

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and patient admissions.
• Create treatment plans including medication management.
• Obtain and review appropriate laboratory tests and consult with team members as needed.
• Provide individual and group psychotherapy.
• Supervise psychiatric residents and fellows.

• Psychiatrist 1:
  License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State, completion of a training program in psychiatry approved by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
• Psychiatrist 2:
  License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State, certification in psychiatry approved by the ABPN.
• Candidates from within State Service: one year of permanent competitive or 55‑b/55‑c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Base pay:

• Psychiatrist 1: $270,356 per year.
• Psychiatrist 2: $283,577 per year.

Position eligible for Downstate Adjustment of $4,000.

• May be required to become an enrolled Medicare provider and obtain an NPI number.
• Loss of license or limited permit to practice medicine in New York State or board certification may result in removal from position.
