NYU Langone Health, a worldclass, patient centered, integrated academic medical center, is seeking a highly motivated Critical Care Intensivist to join our dynamic Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) team at our Manhattan campus. This position offers the opportunity to practice cutting edge, high acuity critical care within a nationally recognized health system known for excellence in clinical care, research, and education. PositionHighlights:
- Enjoy a 50/50 split (day/night) schedule that includes daytime ICU weeks, ICU triage weeks, and night shift coverage.
- Deliver care at a premier academic medical center known for its commitment to quality, innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and continuous improvement in patient outcomes.
- Manage a broad spectrum of critically ill medical patients, including those with severe respiratory failure, septic shock, complex hemodynamic instability, and multi-organ dysfunction.
- Perform and supervise advanced ICU procedures, such as airway management, central venous access, arterial line placement, and bedside ultrasound for diagnostic and procedural guidance.
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams, including critical care fellows, internal medicine residents, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, nurses, and respiratory therapists.
- Engage in academic and quality initiatives, including teaching of trainees, participation in simulation-based education, involvement in quality improvement projects, and contributions to patient safety efforts.
