We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and dedicated Medical Director of Primary Care to join our dynamic healthcare team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of medical professionals in providing top-notch primary care services in a federally qualified health center (FQHC). The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing clinical operations, ensuring quality improvement, and maintaining regulatory compliance.
This role requires a strong commitment to patient safety, risk management, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Oversee the delivery of patient care, ensuring all services are compliant with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide direct supervision to medical staff, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Develop, implement, and monitor clinical protocols to ensure the highest level of patient care.
- Conduct regular peer reviews and medical record reviews to assess the quality of care and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead quality assurance and improvement initiatives, implementing changes as necessary to improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop integrated care strategies, ensuring a comprehensive approach to patient care.
- Manage risks and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Work closely with management to develop strategic plans, set goals, and monitor progress.
- Serve as a key liaison between the medical staff and administration, fostering open communication and collaboration.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in the field of primary care and ensure the implementation of relevant advancements in our clinical practice.
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in primary care, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Experience working in a federally qualified health center (FQHC) is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of outpatient medicine and physician supervision.
- Proven experience in medical staff management and clinical operations.
- Strong understanding of quality improvement, quality assurance, peer review, and medical record review processes.
- Experience in clinical protocol development, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
