Company Description
Expert Care Team partners with physicians and advanced practice clinicians to launch and operate successful independent healthcare practices without the burden of day-to-day business management. The organization provides comprehensive operational support, including real estate, licensing and regulatory compliance, billing, HR, marketing, and full practice infrastructure, so clinicians can focus on delivering high-quality patient care while building equity. Through a partnership model rather than a staffing or management arrangement, Expert Care Team combines clinical excellence with proven systems to create sustainable, profitable practices.
Led by Joel Kaufman, the team brings decades of experience building and scaling healthcare ventures across multiple specialties, offering significantly lower capital contributions for ownership while preserving full clinical autonomy.
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Dermatologist based in Brooklyn, NY. The Dermatologist will provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologic care, including patient consultations, skin examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing in-office procedures, interpreting diagnostic tests, documenting care in the EHR, collaborating with clinical and administrative staff, and participating in quality and safety initiatives.
The role also involves educating patients on skin health and preventive care, contributing to practice growth through strong patient relationships, and helping shape clinical protocols within an independent practice model supported by Expert Care Team's operational infrastructure.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Dermatology; completion of an accredited dermatology residency.
- Unrestricted or eligible New York State medical license and DEA registration.
- Demonstrated proficiency in medical and surgical dermatology, including diagnosis and treatment of common and complex skin conditions.
- Experience or strong interest in cosmetic dermatology procedures is preferred.
- Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care and culturally sensitive communication.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary clinical and administrative teams in an on-site practice environment.
- Strong documentation and EHR skills, attention to detail, and adherence to regulatory and compliance standards.
- Interest in practice ownership and long-term partnership, with willingness to engage in building a high-quality independent dermatology practice.
- Prior experience in an outpatient dermatology setting is beneficial but not required for highly motivated, clinically strong early-career clinicians.
