Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist — Cohen Children's Heart Center

The Cohen Children's Heart Center at Cohen Children's Medical Center of New York is seeking a Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist to join a growing, multidisciplinary pediatric cardiac program.

We are looking for a collaborative, motivated clinician with a passion for cardiac critical care and program development. The ideal candidate will be BC/BE in both Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and Pediatric Cardiology. Candidates certified in one specialty with additional cardiac critical care training or substantial experience will also be considered. Interest in research and/or quality improvement is highly valued.

The CICU is led by Dr. Todd Sweberg and operates within a Heart Center structure under the leadership of the System Chief, Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery and the System Chief, Pediatric Cardiology. A new, physically dedicated Cardiac ICU is in progress, representing a significant institutional investment in the program's future.

• 37-bed PICU with >2,600 annual admissions; dedicated CICU under construction
• 900 cardiac surgical cases over the past five years
• Heart Failure program with heart transplantation and MCS
• 57-bed Level IV NICU with >1,700 annual admissions and seven system-level referring NICUs
• Adult Congenital Heart Association Accreditation
• Established programs in interventional cardiology, non-invasive cardiac imaging, and ECMO
• Multidisciplinary CICU staffing:
  Pediatric Intensivists, Neonatal Intensivists, Cardiologists, Cardiac Surgeons, and Advanced Care Providers
• Opportunities for additional divisional activities based on candidate interest
• 14,000 annual Heart Center inpatient and outpatient encounters
