Vascular​/Stroke Neurologist

Northwell Health's Department of Neurology is seeking BC/BE Vascular/Stroke Neurologists to join our expanding multi-disciplinary team for full-time opportunities across Long Island, Manhattan, and Westchester. Providers will work within a leading stroke program featuring a vast network of New York State-designated stroke centers and collaborate with the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. Practice Info

• Full-time opportunities are available in Long Island (Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson), Manhattan (Lenox Hill Hospital), and Westchester (Northern Westchester Hospital, Phelps Hospital)
• Part of a leading stroke program with 4 Comprehensive Stroke Programs, 11 Primary Stroke Centers, and a Thrombectomy-Capable Center
• Operates within a vast network of 16 New York State-designated stroke centers
• Multidisciplinary team comprised of physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, technicians, and support staff
• Academic affiliation with the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive stroke care
• Collaborate with the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and contribute to advances in technology, education, and research
• Engage with a large network of neurologists through grand rounds, conferences, and case discussions

Compensation

• Competitive salaries with annual incentive compensation bonus
• Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity

Qualifications

• M.D. Degree from an accredited institution (ACGME or foreign program that is similarly appropriately accredited)
• Completion of Neurology residency and Stroke/Vascular fellowship
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurology
• Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a physician in the State of New York
