Anesthesiology Physician

Role Overview:
Responsible for pre-operative patient assessments, administration of anesthesia, and initial post-operative recovery. May also provide pain management care and treatment.

• Perform pre-op assessments to evaluate anesthesia risks and procedural considerations.
• Discuss anesthesia options with patients and explain procedures.
• Administer anesthesia following accepted medical standards.
• Monitor patient condition throughout procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons and administer medications as needed.
• Assist patients to recovery, report their status, and ensure stability during initial recovery.
• Recognize and respond to respiratory and cardiac emergencies.
• Provide pain management services within individual privileges.
• Maintain comprehensive medical documentation of care provided.
• Participate as part of the medical staff and adhere to governing bylaws.
• Contribute to committees and activities as requested by Medical Director.

• Licensed Physician in the state.
• Qualified specialist with appropriate credentials.
• Maintains ACLS certification.
• Meets all requirements for medical staff appointment and reappointment.
