The role involves providing inpatient psychiatric care, including consultation-liaison services and electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), and participating in psychiatric evaluations and management within a hospital setting.
It includes teaching, supervising, and mentoring psychiatry residents and medical students in clinical and didactic environments, supporting curriculum development, scholarly activities, and quality improvement initiatives.
The candidate will collaborate with residency leadership and serve on departmental and training committees. Responsibilities also encompass contributing to weekend and department call schedules with additional compensation, with opportunities for research and academic pursuits.
Qualifications Include- MD, DO, or equivalent degree
- Board certification or eligibility in General Psychiatry
- Eligibility for medical licensure in New York State
- Interest in resident education and academic psychiatry
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
