Director, Neuromuscular Neurology

The Department of Neurology at Northwell Health is seeking a highly motivated Neuromuscular Neurologist to join the team as Director of Neuromuscular Neurology in Westchester, NY. This full-time role offers exceptional flexibility with a focus exclusively on ambulatory practice across an expanding regional network. The incoming Director will provide strategic and clinical leadership to grow the program, foster multidisciplinary partnerships, and deliver high-quality patient care within New York's largest healthcare system.

Practice Info

• Ambulatory practice setting focusing exclusively on outpatient care across the Westchester market
• Clinical operations spanning Northern Westchester Hospital, Phelps Hospital, and a new Chappaqua site
• Participation in system-wide Neuromuscular Case Conferences and diverse teaching opportunities

Responsibilities

• Lead the Neuromuscular team and actively participate in Neurology Service Line meetings
• Provide clinical and strategic leadership for Neuromuscular Neurology across the Westchester market
• Partner with hospital and service line leadership to develop and execute a long-term vision for the growth of neuromuscular services
• Identify opportunities to expand patient access, enhance the patient experience, and advance the quality and coordination of neuromuscular care
• Develop and implement clinical best practices, quality standards, and process-improvement initiatives
• Serve as a liaison between the neuromuscular program, hospital administration, and health system leadership
• Oversee and support the program's clinical, quality, operational, and financial performance
• Recruit, mentor, develop, and support physicians and other members of the neuromuscular team

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution (ACGME or foreign program that is similarly appropriately accredited) (Required)
• Completion of Neurology residency and Neuromuscular fellowship (Required)
• Board Certified (Required)
• Licensed or eligible to be licensed as a physician in the State of New York (Required)
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience with demonstrated leadership skills (Required)
