Chief of Urology

Northwell Health is seeking a physician leader to serve as the Chief of Urology at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, NY. This role involves working closely with the chair on clinical operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining excellence within the department. The successful candidate will help cultivate a culture of scholarship and support the productivity of physician faculty and staff.

Practice Info

• Arthur Smith Institute for Urology with tremendous growth across Long Island, New York City, and Westchester
• Minimally invasive procedures to treat urologic diseases including bladder, kidneys, male genitalia, and prostate
• Weekly conferences to keep updated on latest treatments and technologies
• Residencies and an extensive network of physician extenders

Responsibilities

• Working with the chair on all matters related to clinical operations
• Ensure high quality patient care through development and standardization of care processes and protocols
• Continue to develop a culture of scholarship in quality improvement, health equity and outcomes
• Ensure the productivity of physician faculty and support staff
• Maintain and improve upon the excellence within the department

Compensation

• Commensurate with Experience

Qualifications

• MD Degree or equivalent from an accredited College of Medicine
• Completion of residency and fellowship with Board Certification or eligibility
• Current for NYS License
• Outstanding communication and management skills, and an ability to work collaboratively with medical staff, hospital management, and staff
• Previous division, department, or program leadership
