Overview
Assistant Professor - Educational Foundations and Counseling Programs at The City University of New York, Hunter College. The Department of Educational Foundations and Counseling Programs seeks candidates for a tenure-track position in developmental or educational psychology, with an early childhood focus, effective Fall 2026.
Responsibilities- Engage in research, scholarly writing and grant work.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Teacher Education and Educational Psychology programs.
- Serve on program, department, school, college, and university committees, where appropriate.
- Advise students.
- Earned a Ph.D. in developmental or educational psychology, or a closely related field.
- Ability to instruct graduate-level courses in teacher education and educational psychology, including courses in quantitative research methods, assessment, and/or applied statistics.
- Strong research agenda related to cognition, motivation, assessment, or human development in education.
- Commitment to work in multicultural and urban settings, as demonstrated by prior work or experiences.

Assistant Professor: $57,252 – $109,025.
