Position Overview

Technology Teacher, Probationary – Immediate Vacancy at Eastchester Middle School for the  school year.

The Eastchester School District is seeking a candidate to fill the probationary position of Technology Teacher, under the direction of the Principal, assigned to teach Digital Citizenship in Grade 6 and Independent Inquiry in Grade 7 at Eastchester Middle School.

• Develop and implement curriculum and instructional materials for Digital Citizenship (Grade 6) and Independent Inquiry (Grade 7).
• Facilitate student engagement in meaningful, skill‑based learning experiences that foster digital literacy, creativity, and independent thinking.
• Design assessments and provide feedback that align with district standards.
• Participate in professional development, school meetings, and collaboration with colleagues.
• Uphold district policies and support the overall educational mission.

• NYS Certification:
  Technology Education
• NYSED Fingerprint Clearance (required by law)

• 10‑month, full‑time probationary position
• Salary range in accordance with the Eastchester Teachers Association (ETA) negotiated salary schedule: $62,620 – $86,668; step placement contingent upon prior related experience.
• Internal transfers will maintain their step and salary placement.
