High School Math Teacher (Temporary)

February 1, 2026 – April 27, 2026

Position Overview Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a dedicated and flexible Temporary High School Math Teacher to cover a leave from February 1, 2026 through April 27, 2026
. The successful candidate will teach Algebra, Geometry, and Applied Geometry (non‑Regents) while providing high‑quality instruction and maintaining a supportive, engaging classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging mathematics instruction aligned with curriculum and standards.
  • Create lessons that challenge and support diverse learners.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
  • Maintain an organized and respectful classroom environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff.
  • Collaborate with department colleagues to ensure instructional continuity.

Qualifications

  • Valid state certification in Mathematics (Grades 7–12 or 9–12), or eligibility to obtain certification.
  • Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
  • Ability to support students with varying skill levels.

Work Schedule & Compensation

  • Temporary, full‑time position from February 1–April 27.
  • Salary and benefits per district contract and experience.
