General Description:
Pine Knolls Alliance Church (PKA) exists to experience and share the hope and healing of Jesus. The ideal candidate for this position will advance the vision of Pine Knolls in the area of Adult Discipleship. This individual will excel in developing systems of discipleship for adults, leading discipleship‑oriented ministries, and equipping leaders to participate in that process.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead the discipleship journey at Pine Knolls from the first steps of church attendance and involvement to a committed life of faith and active participation in discipleship ministries (small groups, men’s and women’s ministries, one‑to‑one discipleship, seasonal classes, etc.).
• Recruit, train, and develop leaders for all areas of adult discipleship ministries.
• Lead small group multiplication by casting vision and developing new leaders.
• Oversee the selection or development of curriculum that facilitates biblical, consistent, high‑quality discipleship content.
• Preach biblical, gospel‑centered messages as a member of the Pine Knolls teaching team.
• Serve as a dedicated and collaborative team member alongside the Pine Knolls staff.
• Participate in the life of the church through involvement with all‑church programming/ministries/service opportunities, cultivating intentional discipleship‑oriented relationships, and providing pastoral care/counsel.

Personal/Professional

Qualifications:

• Demonstrates a growing relationship with Christ.
• Gifted in discipleship with a passion for fostering spiritual growth in adults.
• Demonstrates stable leadership through responsible and wise decision‑making.
• Demonstrates professionalism in time management, communication, and oversight of ministry funds.
• At least three years of pastoral ministry experience.
• Hold beliefs that are consistent with the C&MA Statement of Faith, Polity, Core Values – cmalliance.org.
• Agreement and ownership of PKA Vision & Values – pine knolls.org.
