St. Bonaventure Catholic School in Davie, Florida has an opening for a STEM Coordinator for the upcoming 2025-26 school year. This teacher will be expected to collaborate and work in partnership with teachers to create rich student-centered learning experiences using Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Religion and Math principles. The applicant should be a dynamic and innovative educator who can develop lessons that cultivate critical thinking skills, and design instruction to motivate and engage all learners.
The teacher should be able to facilitate "hands-on" experiments and projects that allow students to learn by doing in a collaborative setting. The candidate performs duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and experience.
- BS/BA Degree or higher in Science, Engineering, Education, or related field.
- Florida Department of Education Teacher certification.
- Prior knowledge of STEM principles and use of STEM tools including Robotics, Coding, 3-D printers, Sphero Robots, Wonder Dot and Dash, and Snap Circuits.
- Excellent classroom management skills and demonstrated ability to engage students.
- Strong presentation skills with instructional technologies.
- Excellent oral and written English-language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
- Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
- Exemplified professionalism in behavior and performance.
