Adjunct Faculty- Physician Assistant Studies

The Department of Physician Assistant Studies at NYIT seeks experienced, student-centered adjunct faculty to teach in the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program, either in the didactic or clinical phase. Responsibilities include delivering lectures or labs, assessing student performance, providing feedback, collaborating with faculty, and supporting course and program improvement. Adjunct faculty serve as content experts, educators, and role models, reporting to the Program Director and participating in scheduled meetings.

• Deliver lectures or labs according to syllabi and goals
• Use instructional methods to promote active learning
• Utilize NYIT’s Learning Management System (Canvas)
• Assess student performance and provide feedback
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and grades
• Support an inclusive and academically honest environment
• Collaborate on course improvements
• Hold office hours for student support

Terminal or relevant graduate degree (e.g., MS, PhD, MD, DO, PA-C, Pharm

D), current board certification and licensure if applicable, with at least three years of clinical or academic experience in the subject area. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications: Prior teaching experience in higher education, familiarity with ARC-PA accreditation standards, and experience with instructional technologies.
